I am regularly asked about the warranty period for commercial tank type #hot water heaters. All Manufactures such as #AO Smith and #Rheem offer a 3 year warranty for tank leakage and 1 year on parts. With some units an extended warranty can be purchased. Please know that when a water heater is sold for export, once it leaves the United States the warranties are voided.
